History

The High Purity Day has been organized in Maurick Castle since 2008. This beautiful location is centrally located in the Benelux and is easily accessible from all parts of the Netherlands & Flanders. It is quietly located on an island in the Dommel river, near Vught.

The castle dates from approximately 1400 and was renovated in the early 16th century by Jan Heyns, one of the master builders of St. John's Cathedral in Den Bosch. Both Prince Maurice of Orange and Prince Frederik Hendrik of Orange lived in the castle between 1600 and 1650. In 1891 the castle was restored and renovated to its current state. The High Purity Day takes place in the Orangery and the Conservatory of the complex.

The castle offers sufficient parking spaces for our visitors.
